‘Exploding Myths’ is a vital conference for anyone involved in graduate recruitment or graduate marketing strategy. It will put to the test two powerful myths informing graduate recruitment today:

MYTH ONE: 'All employers must adapt their graduate recruitment practices to accommodate the needs of Generation Y'

MYTH TWO: 'Social Media in recruitment is more hype than substance'

Generation Y and the new world of work_

All graduates under 25 are being labelled 'Generation Y'. They are, according to many social commentators, quantifiably different in their attitude to their career and their expectations of their employers and as a result, recruiters are urged from all sides to pander to this cohort of digital, demanding, dilatory graduates.

But should this make us disregard this whole generation of graduates? And should Gen-Y be your target market anyway? Could you find graduate talent better suited to your organisation’s needs by extending the boundaries of your talent pool?

Our purpose is to stimulate debate and share solutions so that delegates will leave with fresh, practical ideas for tackling their particular recruitment problems.
