Suzanne Shaw and Danny Cipriani -What a Pairback to blogs home >by The Watcher I was very interested to see whether Danny Cipriani would fail or flourish on his full debut at fly-half for England. Flourish he did -and with no small amount of panache too. That he played very well was not a shock as he has been one of the top performers in the Guiness Premiership since last season. That he performed as well as he did after his daftness in going to a nightclub before the Scotland game and with the burden of proving that he was up to the job of replacing Mr Wilkinson, world record points scorer, British Lion and World Cup winner. Cipriani came good in spades and England won. It will be the measure of time to ascertain whether Ciprianimakes England a better team (as Wilkinson did in his pomp) or if he caught Ireland on a bad day (they were quite desperate in terms of quality of play). Chuffed with a third win for the Lions, I was entirely ill-prepared to be wowed by the beauty that was Suzanne Shaw's performances in the Dancing on Ice finale yesterday. I can honestly say that I had not watched more than 30 seconds of the entire series prior to last night, yet I sat riveted as Ms Shaw did her high-wire routine and then The Bolero, not to mention the ageless Torvill and Dean performing. Having previously taken a hard line against reality TV performance shows I have now been converted (Strictly Come Dancing was capital as well!). I'll transfer my 'no viewing' policy to Big Brother methinks. back to blogs home > To check main articles home CLICK HERE > Back to Recruitment Times homepage CLICK HERE > |
